Configuring the Advanced Approval life cycle

Configuring the Advanced Approval life cycle involves configuring numerous other Meridian Project Portal features.

Before you begin

Verify that the Document Circulations add-on has been installed. If the module is installed and available, it should be listed in the Modules folder of the Advanced Settings branch in the workspace configuration tree.

You should be familiar with configuring the following Meridian Project Portal features:

To configure the Advanced Approval life cycle, perform the following tasks in the order listed:

  1. Create the security roles as described in Creating the Advanced Approval roles.
  2. Create the life cycle statuses as described in Creating the Advanced Approval document statuses .
  3. Create the life cycle as described in Creating the Advanced Approval life cycle.
  4. Create the custom properties as described in Creating the Advanced Approval custom properties.
  5. (Optional) Limit access to unreleased documents as described in Limiting access to documents.
  6. (Optional) Configure other life cycles to use the Advanced Approval circulation options as described in Configuring other life cycles.
